SASSA will probably be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The assistance issue established for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for SRD the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
